Commencing his acting career at the tender age of 7 Jeffrey appeared in over 200 episodes of local television.

Moving into directing at 20 he has over ninety hours of television and two feature films to his credit including Chris Lilley’s Angry Boys for HBO, Rake, H2O: Just Add Water and the Emmy nominated Dance Academy.
He has directed episodes across eleven US series including Modern Family, Bones and Difficult People as director and Co-Executive Producer with Amy Poehler.

He was the youngest recipient of the ACCTA Award for Best Direction in Television for his work on the Jack Irish TV movies starring Guy Pearce. Jeffrey was nominated for an ACCTA Award for the BBC mini-series Banished and has received an additional three ACCTA nominations and won four Australian Directors Guild Awards.

His debut feature, Ali’s Wedding was voted Best Feature Audience Award at the 2017 Sydney Film Festival. His second feature Dance Academy: The Comeback was released earlier this year to critical acclaim.
