Yael Stone has worked extensively in the Australian film, television and theatre industry. A NIDA graduate, she cut her teeth at 13 years old in her first professional role and never looked back. Yael is best known for her portrayal of Lorna Morello in the Netflix original series Orange Is The New Black (available on Foxtel Now), a true global phenomenon that has been honoured with the SAG Award for Outstanding Comedy Ensemble in 2015, 2016 & 2017, and nominated for the 2014 and 2015 Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy and Outstanding Drama. Yael’s performance has earned her critical acclaim worldwide and she is commencing work on her sixth season.

Yael is also set to return as the well-loved mushroom dealer/dog walker Beth in the WGA Award-winning series High Maintenance for HBO. She went toe-to-toe with Charles Dance as Peretta in the SyFy series based on Arthur C. Clarke’s Childhood’s End. Yael joined an all star cast for Wilde Wedding, acting alongside legends of stage and screen Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Sir Patrick Stewart and Minnie Driver.

In Australia, Yael received a TV Week Logie Award nomination for Most Outstanding Actress for her portrayal of ‘Tori Lustigman’ in Deep Water (Blackfella Films and SBS), where she starred alongside Noah Taylor and was directed by Shawn Seet. Most recently, Yael joined the cast of Foxtel’s eagerly anticipated drama Picnic At Hanging Rock alongside Natalie Dormer. The series is set for major international release.

Yael splits her time between Sydney and New York City and is a proud board member of Liberation Prison Yoga and a Global Ambassador for AIME.
